The New 9-1 Specifications are being examined for the first time this year in English and maths.
For Maths the new AQA Specification code is 8300, the new OCR Specification code is J560, the new Edexcel Specification code is 1MA1 and the new WJEC (EDUQAS) Specification codes are 3310 or C300. Check with your son’s/daughter’s school to confirm which board is being followed. The three English boards’ specifications have three papers to be sat and the following dates are the same for each exam board.
May 25th 2017 (am)- Maths GCSE Paper 1 (Higher and Foundation) Non Calculator
June 8th 2017 (am) – Maths GCSE Paper 2 (Higher and Foundation) Calculator allowed
June 13th 2017 (am) – Maths GCSE Paper 3 (Higher and Foundation) Calculator allowed – 3rd paper not set for WJEC (EDUQAS)
OCR Applications of Mathematics (J925) Papers are to be sat on the May 25th and June 8th.
OCR Methods of Mathematics (J926) Papers are to be sat on June 13th and June 20th.
For English the new AQA Specification code for language is 8700 and Literature is 8702, the new OCR Specification code for language is J531 and Literature is J532, the new Edexcel Specification code for language is 1EN0 and Literature is 1ET0 and the new WJEC (EDUQAS) Specification codes for language are 3700 or C700 and Literature are 3720 or C720. The new specifications have been structured such that 20% of the marks will be allocated to Spelling Punctuation and Grammar (SPaG).

June 6th (am) and June 12th – English GCSE Language (Higher and Foundation)
All schools in Jersey teach the MEI A level, administered by OCR, so all A level students have the same dates for their exams.
